Mask tapes are versatile technical adhesives designed to temporarily cover, protect or fix surfaces and parts during technological processes, assembly, transport and storage. Unlike conventional painter’s tapes, these tapes are manufactured for more demanding conditions – they can withstand higher temperatures, chemicals, mechanical stress or UV radiation according to the specification of the type.

The basis of the tape is a carrier (e.g. impregnated paper, polyester, PVC, crepe, etc.) and a special type of adhesive (rubber, acrylic, silicone) that ensures a firm yet easily removable adhesion without residue. Masking tapes are used in the automotive, electrical, aerospace, engineering and furniture industries. They are available in a variety of widths, lengths and designs, including versions resistant to high temperatures, abrasives or electrostatic discharge (ESD).
