Gached paper is a specially treated wrapping paper with a surface impregnated with paraffin, wax or asphalt (gaché), which gives it excellent barrier properties against moisture, grease and dust. It is mainly used as a protective packaging material where it is necessary to protect goods from environmental influences while ensuring strength and ease of handling.

It is made from kraft or other strong paper, on which a layer of impregnation is applied. It comes in rolls or sheets and is easy to cut or fold as needed. Gached paper is suitable for packaging machine parts, metal parts, metallurgical products, chemicals and food products where moisture and grease need to be prevented from penetrating.
