Custom Packaging

In the industrial sector, simply placing a product in a box is not enough. During transport, handling, and storage, the product may become scratched, deformed, mechanically damaged, or corroded. Custom packaging allows you to tailor protection to a specific product and the conditions to which it will be exposed. Properly designed packaging not only protects the product but also facilitates handling, increases transport safety, and helps reduce costs associated with potential damage.

Every product requires different protection

A precision-machined metal part has different requirements than an electronic component or a heavy machine component. Shape, weight, surface sensitivity, mode of transport, and storage duration all play an important role. It is also necessary to take into account potential vibrations, impacts, moisture, or temperature changes during transport.

This is precisely why several materials are often combined when designing industrial packaging. A properly selected combination secures the product against movement, protects its surface, and—in the case of metal parts—also reduces the risk of corrosion. The result is a packaging solution tailored to the customer’s specific needs.

Securing with EPE foam

Foam cutouts hold the product in the desired position, absorb shocks, and protect sensitive surfaces from mechanical damage. The die-cut can be customized to the exact shape of the product.

Corrosion Protection

For metal products, you can use ANTICOfol® VCI films or MULTIferro® VCI papers. These help protect metal surfaces from corrosion during storage and transport.

Outer packaging depending on the mode of transport

Cardboard boxes, cardboard-plastic packaging and appropriate dividers enhance product protection and facilitate handling. Solutions can be either single-use or returnable.

An example is a precision-machined metal component placed in an EPE foam insert. The foam restricts the product’s movement and protects it from impacts. A properly designed VCI packaging ensures corrosion protection, and the outer cardboard box enables safe transport.

Such a solution can minimize product damage, simplify packaging, and reduce costs associated with customer complaints.
