Problem:

There is a recurring problem with corrosion of the metal threads of the bolts inside the tanks. During storage and operation, these parts were exposed to moisture and more aggressive conditions, leading to deterioration of the joints and complications during disassembly. In this particular case, the customer was transporting the tanks to another company abroad and the threads had already corroded during transport, so that the subsequent bolted connection was not functional.

Solution:

As a solution, we chose an anti-corrosion oil PROTECTcor® 500s spray. After the bolts were installed, workers sprayed the oil directly into the internal threads. Thanks to the precise application, the product reached even the hardest-to-reach areas and formed a continuous protective film.

“The application is fast and we see the effect almost immediately. The threads are protected and also easy to work with even after a long time,” adds Mr. Novák.
